CALLAWASSIE ISLAND, S.C. – The Xavier women's golf team finished the first round of the BIG EAST Championship this afternoon. The Musketeers competed against the rest of the conference on a summery day at Callawassie Island Golf Club.
"We didn't have quite the round we were hoping today, but I was happy with our mental state throughout," said head coach Breanna Patz. "Everyone was positive with themselves and feels like their game is in a good place. We got some good work done after the round. We're hoping to put some solid scores on the board tomorrow, and see where that puts us going into Sunday.
