I wrote yesterday about the nervousness that comes with being chalk. Some people understood. Others told me to calm down and we'd get through it as a team. Both sides made good points.
Then this happened.
"This," if you haven't been watching, was #15 Middle Tennessee State beating #2 Michigan State in a fairly comprehensive fashion. MTSU started the game on a 15-2 run and led wire to wire. The Spartans kept bringing it back into touching distance; Middle Tennessee kept answering.
Down the stretch a team that shot 60% from the line on the season continued to be miserable from there and continued to play well enough that it didn't matter.
