SECAUCUS, N.J. - Xavier baseball saw another two players drafted on Wednesday in the MLB First Year Player Draft as Garrett Schilling and Greg Jacknewitz saw their names called, giving the program a record four total selections over the three-day event.
Schilling, a right-handed pitcher from Clawson, Mich., set XU's single season saves record in 2016 before successfully transitioning to the weekend rotation this past season. He capped his year with a win over Radford in the NCAA Tournament, tossing seven innings of one-run ball in an elimination game.
