Where Xavier stands after consecutive losses

It would be all too easy for Xavier men's basketball fans to lose sight of the big picture in light of the Musketeers' current two-game road losing streak to power conference programs.

Among college hoops experts, Xavier's big-picture outlook is still overwhelmingly positive. CBS Sports Network college basketball analyst and former Xavier player Steve Wolf said he isn't worried about Musketeers' trajectory at this point in the season.

"I'm not concerned, actually, at all," Wolf told The Enquirer Thursday.

Ranked the No. 9 team in America in preseason by the Associated Press, Xavier (7-2) saw its reoccurring deficiencies – namely poor free-throw shooting and cold second-half shooting – cost them back-to-back games at Baylor and Colorado in the last week.
