'Tis the season for the coaching carousel in college basketball, and Xavier is no exception in the world of speculation.
Chris Mack has stayed out of the talk, mostly because there is no high-level job that would be better than what he has with the Musketeers, but associate head coach Travis Steele has been linked to head coach openings at Wright State and Western Kentucky.
The job with the Hilltoppers seems to have more traction. A source said Steele is in the interview mix. Either way, university President Gary Ransdell has said the process will be swift so it won't be surprising if Ray Harper's replacement is named soon.
