Jared Ridder, a 6-foot-7 wing/forward from Kickapoo High School (MO) who verbally committed to Xavier (Class of 2017), led his AAU team, Mokan Elite of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, to a 2016 Nike Peach Jam 17U title.

Ridder, rated a three-star recruit by Scout.com and Rivals.com, is known for his shooting touch. The Kickapoo High School and MoKan Elite player averaged 20.1 points and 6.2 rebounds with 55 3-pointers for his high school team as a junior and is expected to be the first in a large XU recruiting class.
