CINCINNATI – A dominant performance on the board helped the Musketeers go two-of-two against Northern Iowa on Saturday, as No. 9/8 Xavier topped the Panthers, 64-42, at Cintas Center to move to 6-0 on the season.
Xavier owned a 42-20 advantage on rebounds, grabbing as many off the offensive glass (15) as UNI did on defense, helping Xavier own an 11-2 advantage on second chance points.
Trevon Bluiett led the Musketeers with eight boards. Tyrique Jones finished with six, including five offensive rebounds.
Xavier also dominated on scoring in the paint, outscoring UNI 36-16 down low.
