Xavier University men's soccer product Jalen Brown will participate next week in the 2017 adidas Major League Soccer Player Combine, the league announced Wednesday.
Brown will join 65 other elite college prospects at the event (Sunday through Jan. 12), which includes interviews, physical tests and match play in Carson, California. Representatives from every active MLS club will be on hand to evaluate the players.
Brown now has a stage he can use to reach America's top-flight league. If he impresses at the combine, he could hear his name called at the Jan. 13 MLS SuperDraft.
Over a four-year career at Xavier, Brown received seven Big East Conference honors including two rookie honors his freshman season, a Big East All-Tournament Team selection in 2014 and four weekly honors over his junior and senior seasons.
