Seven hours later, the wing from Georgia announced he was headed to Xavier.
Harden joins small forward Jared Ridder in the Musketeers’ Class of 2017 and has the ability to provide Xavier with an infusion of scoring. The 6-foot-5, 182-pound player averaged 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists last season at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Georgia.
Harden, reached after he made his commitment, said his family is moving to Mableton, Georgia, and he’s transferring to Pebblebrook High next year for “a better fit.
