Chris Mack and Xavier's men's basketball staff gained their first verbal commitment for the Class of 2017 from Jared Ridder, a 6-foot-6 small forward from Missouri.
"Extremely blessed and humbled to officially announce my commitment! I am so thankful for all the coaches and mentors I've had throughout my career so far that have shaped me into the player I am today(.) I would not be where I am without any of them. With that being said, through the entire recruiting process one school has always stuck out to me, and after visiting this past week it is clear that there is no other place I can see myself playing in college.
