Xavier is set to launch a national search for a new women's soccer head coach after its now-former coach of about five months resigned Tuesday.

Kacey White's resignation as head coach was announced by the athletic department Tuesday. White, a former U.S. senior international, left to accept a coaching position with U.S. Soccer, according to Xavier's news release.

“We have a program with tremendous potential in a great league, the Big East Conference,” said Xavier Athletic Director Greg Christopher. “Our complete focus is on the Xavier women's soccer student-athletes. We will find the best coaching leader for our women’s soccer program.
