Xavier men's basketball has a long road to hoe in next week's Big East Tournament.
By virtue of the Musketeers' 95-84 loss to Marquette Wednesday night, Xavier – which just weeks ago stood at 8-3 in the Big East and appeared to be cruising toward high postseason seeds – is locked in as the league's seventh-seeded team.
The Musketeers (18-12, 8-9 Big East) will play last-place and No. 10 DePaul University when tournament play begins Wednesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The game is scheduled to tip at 9:30 p.m.
The Big East on Thursday confirmed Xavier's tournament seeding.
