CHICAGO — In college basketball, you're up one minute and down the next in March.
Xavier men's basketball's definitely up at the moment. The Musketeers' season was running aground after six straight losses, but Saturday's 79-64 victory against the DePaul University Blue Demons has reignited their March Madness push.
The win wasn't Xavier's postseason clincher. Rather, it was a bridge over a loss that likely would have sunk the tournament push for good.
It's the first step in a multi-phase process that could see the Musketeers make their 11th NCAA Tournament push in the last 12 seasons by week's end.
